To make using BaseCamp easier, we have developed a few example Programme packs you might find useful:  

• Hike, Camp & Raft Challenge: 2-day programme involving hiking to BaseCamp, camping overnight and then doing a rafting challenge on day 2.
• Canoe & Hike Day Challenge: Starting off BaseCamp, half your group will canoe to a specific location whilst the other half hike a longer route ending at the same location. After lunch, the groups swap over and canoe or hike back to BaseCamp. End your day with food, games & a camp fire.
• Hike & Cook Day Challenge: Follow one of the suggested Hike routes, ending at BaseCamp, and then have some backwoods cooking challenges to end the day.

These challenges are suitable for Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Adult age groups.

BaseCamp sits half-way between the two Lonsdale Scouts Activity Centres. The PDF packs below suggest route options from both sites to/from BaseCamp:  

• BaseCamp to/from Littledale Activity Centre: After an overnight stay at the Littledale Activity Centre, the DofE group can hike to BaseCamp for a second overnight camp (or do it the other way round). 
• BaseCamp to/from SilverHelme Activity Centre: After an overnight stay at the SilverHelme Activity Centre, the DofE group can hike to BaseCamp for a second overnight camp (or do it the other way round).
